Harland Financial Solutions said it signed 286 new Cavionself-service banking contracts throughout 2012, citing continuinggrowth in the Lake Mary, Fla., company's hosted offerings.

The company said it now has more than 450 Cavion clients, about60% of them credit unions. Among them, 45 are new users of thecompany's Internet banking, 128 mobile banking, 75 voice bankingand 76 bill pay, Harland Financial Solutions said.

Similar growth is being experienced in the company's P2Poffering it launched in late 2011. Sam Kilmer, Harland's vicepresident of product development, said there were 100 clients onthat platform at the end of last year and a couple hundred more areexpected to sign on in 2013.

“Our mobile platforms numbers are at like a 50% growth ratewhile it's more like 10% for online banking, which is stillsignificant but expectable,” Kilmer told Credit UnionTimes. “And now we're heading into an environment where wehave to be prepared in the next two to three years for the conceptof mobile payments to get real.”

In its press release, the company cited integration between itsUltraData core platform and the new solutions as sellingpoints.

For instance, the $177 million ABCO Credit Union inRancocas, N.J., recently renewed its existing UltraData Enterprisecontract while adding Internet, voice and mobile banking and remotedeposit capture.

“The ability for a member to open a new account with us, thenwalk out the door and dial into Cavion voice banking or accessCavion Internet banking and see everything real time is slick. Itmakes things easier for our members and helps us service them moreefficiently by empowering them to bank 24/7 on their terms,” saidChristena Day Benson, executive vice president of operations at the34,700-member ABCO CU.
