The $851 million Communication FCU in Oklahoma City is now offering its 52,900members mobile financial services through technology from Tyfone inPortland, Ore., the company and credit union said.

The new mobile service integrates with the credit union's FiservXP2 core system and provides app, mobile Web and text access tofunctionality that includes standard mobile banking features andNFC contactless payment tools, the company and credit unionsaid.

“Our members will be able to keep a closer watch on theirmoney and configure their accounts to their liking, right fromtheir device. Our Rate Watch feature, for example, allows ourmembers to set a rate for a product they have or are interested inand once that trigger is met, they will receive an alert directlyto their phone so that they can make the necessary adjustments totheir accounts,” said Stephen Lark, CFCU's vice president ofmarketing and corporate development.

Meeting regulatory demands also is built into the software,Tyfone said.

“For example, the Reg D counter is a simple yet effectivetool to inform CFCU members of how many transfers they haveremaining until the end of the month. Putting this information attheir fingertips ensures that CFCU members are able to know thestatus of their account at a moment's notice and gives them theability to move their money when they need to, even while travelingout of town or while out shopping,” said Mark Miyamoto, director ofmobile banking and product development for Tyfone.

Tyfone said Communications FCU is the company's ninth mobilebanking client, all creditunions.
