The Appraisal Subcommittee of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council announced Friday a Dodd-Frank Act mandated Appraisal Complaint National Hotline has gone live.

The FFIEC said in a release that consumers can make complaints two ways: by calling toll-free at 1-877-739-0096 or by submitting them online.

The hotline will refer complainants to appropriate state and/or federal agencies to handle complaints of alleged violations of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and/or appraisal independence requirements.
