A Buchanan, Mich., middle school won $3,000 and some face timeon the Internet in a competition sponsored by the $433 millionHonor Credit Union in St. Joseph, Mich.

Buchanan Middle School's entry won the 39,300-member creditunion's first Video Challenge competition. The idea was to create a30- to 60-second video highlighting HonorCU and its contributions to the community.

The winning video will be featured on the credit union'swebsite, Facebookand YouTube pages and local Moore Theaters later this year, thecredit union said.

“I am so proud of the students, their hard work andcreativity. This award will go a long way to enhance ourcurrent Tech Club program.” said teacher and Tech Club DirectorBrian Brown. “We thank Honor Credit Union for supportingfinancial literacy and technology in our communityschools.”

South Haven High School in South Haven, Mich., won the secondplace prize of $1,000. HonorCU serves 14 Michigan counties.
