The $1.9 billion, 301,400-member GECU in El Paso, Texas, hasgone live with its new website at mygecu.org.

The new site has a distinctly local flavor, using photos oflocal scenery, members and employees while improving navigation andaccessibility for PC, mobile and tablet use, the Texas credit unionsaid. The site also comes in two languages: English andSpanish.

The site has seen a more than 100% jump in non-branded SEOtraffic and product views by 45% in the few weeks since itlaunched, the credit union said. GECU worked with SanFrancisco-based EXTRACTABLE to create the new digital presence.

“Together we are able to meet the needs of our community andmembers by offering a 24:7 branch where you can check your balance,make transfers, pay bills and even apply for loans,” said Crystal Long, president/CEO of GECU, the largest locally ownedfinancial institution in that West Texas market.

“There's lots of helpful information like car buying tips,mortgage loan tips, and more. We are continuing to grow andwe're happy to serve our community and members to meet their needswith our new website,” Long said.
