FactorTrust, a firm which aggregates data on financiallyunderserved consumers, has found that fully 12% of workers infinancial service firms, such as banks, credit unions and insurancefirms, don't have relationships with a financial institution andremain, in fact, among the financiallyunderserved.

FactorTrust said it has not yet broken out data by type offinancial firm.

Greg Rable, CEO of the Roswell, Ga., firm maintains that thenumbers and types of financially underserved consumers have shiftedover the years and that financial firms have largely not shiftedtheir marketing and product development to match those changes.
