Some timely hometown lessons in international cybercrime have been added to the agenda of NAFCU's Technology and Security set for Feb. 26-28 in Austin, Texas.

Staff from the $1.5 billion University Federal Credit Union will lead a session on their response to a Distributed Denial of Service attack that took down the Austin credit union's website for about two and a half hours on Jan. 24.

UFCU was one of two credit unions (Patelco is the other) named by the Al-Qassam Cyber Fighters named as targets after their sites were taken down by the purportedly Iran-backed cyber attackers.
