Two More Core Processing Conversions

Two more credit unions are changing their core processors and running them through an outsourced, service bureau environment.

They are the $107 million, 18,100-member West Virginia Central Credit Union in Parkersburg, W.Va., and the $40 million, 8,000-member State Transportation Employees Credit Union in Columbus, Ohio.

STECU has converted to the CU*BASE platform from CU*Answers in Grand Rapids, Mich., and is the CUSO’s fourth conversion so far in its 2013 fiscal year, the company said.

West Virginia Central CU, meanwhile, will become the 65th credit union in 22 states running on the Symitar Episys solution through Member Driven Technologies, a CUSO that operates from two data centers in suburban Detroit, that company said.

Both credit unions are converting from Fiserv Inc. solutions, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
