A program designed to raise money from supportive credit unionorganizations has raised almost $1 million for the National Credit UnionFoundation, with the deadline to become a supportingorganization still about a week away.
|“NCUF Supporters help provide critical support for our programsto help make financial freedom achievable through credit unions,”said Bucky Sebastian, NCUF executive director. “It's also a greatway for organizations to demonstrate their commitment to the creditunion movement and our philosophy of 'People Helping People.'”
|The deadline to become a Foundation Supporter is Feb. 1 toensure recognition at the annual National Credit Union FoundationDinner where the NCUF will present the Herb Wegner Memorial Awardson Feb. 25 in conjunction with the CUNA GAC in Washington.
|There is also a private reception prior to the dinner for NCUFsupporters, the foundation said.
