The $422 million Financial Center Federal Credit Union in Indianapolis hasintroduced a new Visa card that is being marketed to alumni ofCathedral High School in Indianapolis.

“Financial Center is always looking for new ways to forgepartnerships with schools like Cathedral that share the same visionto live philanthropically and financially responsible,” said JamesDavidson, financial literacy manager at Financial Center FCU.

While this is not the first high school partnership forFinancial Center FCU, it represents the credit union's first creditcard program with a school, the Indianapolis credit union said. Forevery credit card application approved, the credit union donates toCathedral High School.

“We believe the program gives Cathedral families, alumni, andfriends a chance to show support for the school as well as helppromote sensible and responsible financial management througheducational opportunities for students,” said James F. Williams,Cathedral's executive vice president/CFO.

Davidson is available to Cathedral High School as a guestlecturer on financial management.

Financial Center FCU offers an affinity checking account throughNorth Central High School and has student-run branches in NorthCentral's J. Everett Light Career Center and in Arsenal TechnicalHigh School. In addition to providing students with real-life workexperience through the onsite branches, managers of those locationslead financial guest lecture series through the schools' businesscourses.
