Credit unions in Washington and Oregon are announcing their moveinto mobile.

They are the $483 million Solarity CU in Yakima, Wash., and $59million Valley Credit Union in Salem, Ore.

Solarity, formed by the January 2012 merger of Yakima Valley and Catholic creditunions, said it is offering its 49,300 members the mobile bankingtriple play: a mobile website, downloadable app for BlackBerry,Android and iPhones and text banking.

Valley CU is offering mobile banking apps to users of Apple andAndroid devices among its 4,400 members.

“Our members are more connected than ever, and our mobilebanking app will ensure they have access to their funds and morewhen it's convenient and necessary,” said Valley CU President/CEOJean Wheat-Palm.
