Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union is now offering an app for iPads to credit unions using the corporate’s mobile banking services.
Functionality is the same as the corporate’s smartphone app – account balances, transaction histories, internal transfers, bill pay, branch and ATM locators, and social media integration. Remote deposit check capture also is available.
The Plano, Texas-based corporate began offering apps for Apple and Android devices last January.
The apps integrate directly with core processing systems to provide real-time data and can be customized and branded while incorporating in-app marketing and messaging, said Robb Gaynor, chief product officer at Austin, Texas-based Malauzai Software Inc., the corporate’s mobile banking developer.
“According to our research, iPad users are showing greater engagement than their iPhone counterparts when they access mobile banking. Their sessions are longer and they are doing more while in those sessions,” Gaynor said.
“Mobile banking has been tremendously popular on smartphones," said Karen Coble, Catalyst’s vice president of sales. "The larger screen on the iPad makes conducting financial business on a mobile device even easier.”
Malauzai said it currently serves about 20 credit unions and 70 community banks.
