The online financial calculators at CULookup.com racked up more than 2 million calculations in 2012, a 22% increase over the1.65 million calculations notched in 2011, NAFCU Services Corp. said.
The 30 or so calculators – including for home buying, saving, borrowing, retirement and auto financing – attracted nearly 545,000 unique visitors to the CULookup.com site itself or credit union websites.
The calculators are free to NAFCU members and available for a fee to other credit unions and were launched in 2010. NAFCU Services said more than 5,800 customizable calculators have been created by credit unions using the site.
“The fact that CULookup.com grew so dramatically from 2011 to 2012 and surpassed 2 million calculations is a testament to how eager consumers are to look to credit unions for their financial needs,” said NAFCU Services President David Frankil. “Every week, more and more credit unions are adding these calculators to their websites as a simple way to aid members in making key personal finance decisions.”
