"Going Above and Beyond” is the theme of the South Carolina Credit Union League’s annual meeting set for April 11-13 at Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach.
“This will be a celebration not only of our industry and the talent within each credit union, but of our strength and ability to work together for the next great service, capability, or training to help credit union members improve their lives,” said SCCUL Conferences & Training Director Barbara Lehew-Bickley.
The league said the theme came from staff exploration of key challenges the industry faces and, after a strategy session earlier this year, reflects the following characteristics of the credit union movement in the Palmetto State:
- “A strong dedication to providing the best products and services for members, at times going above the call of duty;
- The ability to overcome obstacles such as ever-changing regulations and compliance; and
- Negotiating the everyday ‘balancing act’ while reaching for new heights in innovation, membership growth, and better member service.”
A promotional video for the league – titled “The Carpool” – was created in a Chaplinesque, “vintage circus” genre, the league said. Registration opens in January and all information will be online at the league website instead of printed brochures, the league said.
