The $793 million Financial Partners Credit Union launched amobile bill pay app this month, one of the first of its kind in theLos Angeles market.

The mobile app allows members to pay bills when they want,transfer funds between accounts at FPCU and elsewhere and scheduleautomatic and recurring payments, the credit union said.

The app works on iPhones, Androids, BlackBerrys and through thecredit union's mobile site and wasprovided by AccessSoftek, the credit union's mobile technology providerthat integrated the app with the existing online bill pay servicefrom Wescom Resources Group.

“Since the members have been asking for it, now they have it,”said the 50,000-member credit union's president/CEO, NaderMoghaddam.

FPCU already was one of the first credit unions in SouthernCalifornia to offer mobile check deposit and other leading-edgeservices, he said.

“It is the progressive nature of our credit union that continuesto meet the growing technology needs of our members,” Moghaddamsaid. “Our mobile bill pay service is just one component in thatforward-thinking path.”
