First Heritage Federal Credit Union, PaintedPost, N.Y., has promoted Colleen Dobson to vicepresident, loan administration. Previously, Dobson was trainingmanager. In addition to her new duties, she will continue tocoordinate the institution’s training programs. Dobson joined FirstHeritage in 1991 and has held positions including teller, branchcoordinator, senior lender and branch manager of the credit union’sPainted Post main office. She is a 2008 graduate of the CUNAManagement School.

Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News,Va., announced that Debra Vollmer has beenpromoted to senior vice president of branch services. Vollmer willoversee operations, sales and service to Langley’s members throughthe credit union’s 19 branches through Hampton Roads and ContactCenter staffed with 37 employees. Vollmer began her career at LFCUas a branch manager in 2003 and was promoted to vice president ofoperations in 2004.

Oxford Federal Credit Union, Mexico,Maine, has announced the appointment of MatthewKaubris, chief executive officer and president, byGovernor Paul LePage to the Kim Wallace Adaptive Equipment LoanProgram Fund Board, the only citizen-funded type loan program inthe country. Loans totaling more than $8 million have beenmade to individuals and businesses in the past 20 years

Suffolk Federal Credit Union, Medford, N.Y.,announced that Ralph Marra has recently joined thecredit union as chief information officer. Marra has more thanthirty years of experience in technology and business managementwith Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, Texaco, Drexel Burnhamand Citibank, where he spent 18 years in IT management positions.He is also a member of the Long Island Technology Forum and anadjunct professor at Stony Brook University where he teachesmanagement and information systems on both the undergraduate andMBA levels. Marra is a graduate of Fordham University and receivedhis master’s degree in information systems from Iona College.

Consumers Credit Union, Waukegan, Ill.,recently announced the promotion of Bonny Thomasto the position of VISA manager at the member-owned credit union.Replacing Thomas as the branch manager in Mundelein was JimEisert, formerly the counter service manager at CCU’sWaukegan office. Jennifer Wenckowski replacedEisert in Waukegan, resulting in the promotion of AnissaIvy, as the new counter service manager in the Gurneeoffice. Thomas returned to the credit union as a member servicerepresentative in 2007, working in the Gurnee and Mundelein officesbefore her promotion to the Visa department after working in RoundLake Beach earlier in her career. Thomas has a background in cardservicing, issuance and fraud monitoring to her new position. AsVISA manager, Thomas will manage the daily operations of the VISAdepartment, while maintaining and further developing CCU’s VISAportfolio.

Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union, Pensacola,Fla., has hired Whitney Fike, of Pensacola, as amarketing specialist in the credit union’s marketing department. Inthis role, Fike will assist in the formulation and implementationof strategic marketing plans. Prior to joining Gulf Winds, Fikeworked for the nonprofit and government sectors. She has abachelor’s of arts in communications from the University of WestFlorida. Fike currently serves as president of the Florida PublicRelations Associations, Pensacola chapter and is a graduate of theGreater Pensacola Chamber Leadership Pensacola, class of 2012.

Redwood Credit Union, Napa, Calif., announcedthat its Sonoma branch manager, Alfredo Pedroza,was recently elected to the Napa City Council. His priorities as aCity Council member will include job creation, making Napaaffordable for families, promoting a healthy business environment,and improving Napa’s transportation infrastructure, the creditunion said. Pedroza has worked in financial services since2005, and joined Redwood Credit Union in 2009 as assistant branchmanager of the Napa branch before becoming branch manager of theSonoma and Glen Ellen branches. He holds a bachelor’sdegree in business administration and economics from Sonoma StateUniversity. He is commissioner for the Napa County Gang and YouthViolence Commission and sits on boards and committees for numerousother local organizations, including Community Action Napa Valley,Sonoma State University Alumni Campus Advisory Committee, and NapaCounty Hispanic Network. He has previously served on the board ofdirectors of the Napa Valley Education Foundation, Napa ValleyHispanic Chamber of Commerce and Sonoma County Hispanic Chamber ofCommerce. “We are extremely proud of Alfredo and areconfident he will be a great asset as a City Council member for thepeople of Napa,” said Brett Martinez, RCU president/CEO. “RedwoodCredit Union is very committed to the communities we serve and weare supportive of RCU employees taking on leadership roles in localgovernment and an on nonprofit and community boards.”

Security Service Federal Credit Union, ColoradoSprings, Colo., announced that Joshua Stamps hasbeen selected to serve as the manager of its Powers and BarnesService Center in Colorado Springs. Stamps will be responsible forservice center operations, strategic planning in the district, andcommunity involvement in the Colorado Springs area. Stamps has beenemployed with SSFCU for eight years and has served as the managerof the credit union’s Americas Service Center in El Paso, Texas. Hewas recognized in 2011 as SSFCU’s Manager of the Year.
