The $585 million, 55,100-member Red Canoe Credit Union inLongview, Wash., is now using a teller management system fromFinancial Management Solutions Inc. of Alpharetta, Ga.

The software is allowing Red Canoe to analyze transaction activity and optimize branchworkforce scheduling at its seven branches.

“This uniform data streamlined our process and gave us anapples-to-apples comparison between our different locations,” saidRich Wilson, the credit union's chief financial officer.

“Are we doing the best job that we can in utilizing part-timetellers, and can we better schedule them during peak transactionvolume times? Can we do a better job at identifying our topperformers and duplicating their best practices? With thisactionable business intelligence, we are in a great position toimprove our workforce optimization,” he said.

FMSI said it now has about 115 credit union clients, including 32 that signed on in 2012.
