The $793 million, 50,100-member Financial Partners Credit Union in Downey, Calif., is now offering a credit card rewards program the credit union said has a differentiator from other programs: the rewards don't expire.

The Platinum Rewards Card program allows members to earn points that can be redeemed for merchandise, gift cards from merchants and air travel from Orbitz.

The no-fee card carries a low rate and the points won't expire as long as members make a qualified purchase at least once every 12 months, FPCU said.
