The National Credit Union Foundation said it has now raised morethan $175,000 to benefit credit union people affected by HurricaneSandy.

As donations are posted through CUAid.coop, NCUF is coordinating withthe New Jersey Credit Union League and the Credit Union Associationof New York to distribute money efficiently to affected creditunion employees and members.

“NCUF continues to receive online donations and checks fromcredit unions across the country, which is truly inspiring,” saidChristopher Morris, spokesman for the NCUF in Madison, Wis. “Onehundred percent of the contributions are used for disaster reliefefforts.“
