The $329,000, 321-member Smith & Sons Employees Credit Union in Macon, Ga., was merged Oct. 1 into the $2 billion, 106,000-member Atlanta Postal Credit Union.
APCU held a reception for them at its Macon branch, with refreshments and door prizes.
“Since 1936, Smith & Sons Cafeterias have been treasured by the residents of Macon, as well as the other cities they serve. We are pleased to include all of the employees of Smith & Sons Foods, Inc. as the latest addition to the APCU field of membership,” said Moira Lacey, APCU’s Macon branch manager.
APCU now has eight branches, one in Macon and seven in Atlanta.
