Virtual Desktop Vendor Pano Logic Shuts Down

Pano Logic, the provider of the end-to-end, virtual hardware and software desktop solution Pano System, has gone out of business, according to the company’s former public relations firm.

The shutdown comes shortly after the company announced a PC replacement project with the $3.4 billion Redstone Federal Credit Union in Huntsville, Ala. Redstone FCU had been in the process of replacing 75% of its PCs with Pano Logic’s virtual desktop computing solutions and planned to continue the project into 2013.

Redstone FCU said that its legal and IT teams were reviewing the situation but had no other comment so far.

Calls to Pano Logic’s corporate headquarters in Redwood City, Calif. led only to staff voicemail recordings, and the company did not respond to an email request for comment.

A comment posted on the company’s Facebook page by who appears to be a Pano Logic customer asks about its plans for post-bankruptcy support, to which Pano Logic has not responded.
