A Big To-Do at the Zoo

Employees of the $800 million Credit Union ONE in Ferndale, Mich., brought friends and family along to get this big group together for the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes event at the Detroit Zoo.

It was the credit union’s second time to participate in the event, which attracted 150 people for the credit union team. They raised more than $4,200, a record fundraising effort for Credit Union ONE.

“The walk was a good opportunity for us to participate in a cause that touches all of us in one way or another. Being able to contribute to an organization such as the American Diabetes Association allows us to support our life science partners in the community.  We were surprised by the number of walkers we had, and are truly proud of the team,” said Swami Seetharaman, senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
