Employees of the $800 million Credit Union ONE in Ferndale,Mich., brought friends and family along to get this big grouptogether for the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes event at theDetroit Zoo.
|It was the credit union's second time to participate in theevent, which attracted 150 people for the credit union team. Theyraised more than $4,200, a record fundraising effort for CreditUnion ONE.
|“The walk was a good opportunity for us to participate in acause that touches all of us in one way or another. Being able tocontribute to an organization such as the American DiabetesAssociation allows us to support our life science partners in thecommunity. We were surprised by the number of walkers we had,and are truly proud of the team,” said Swami Seetharaman, seniorvice president and chief marketing officer.
