NAFCU said its CULookup.com site now includes a securedeployment option for its financial calculators for credit unionwebsites.
|CULookup.com calculators are now fully compatible with creditunion websites that deploy HTTPS technology, said NAFCU ServicesCorp. Credit unions with the extra security offered by securecertificates can add the calculators without pop-ups indicating achange in security status, for a seamless end-to-end securesolution.
|The trade group said more than 1.5 million calculations havebeen made on CULookup.com's calculators so far this year, a number expectedto pass 2 million by year's end.
|“When we first developed the CULookup.com calculators,there were not that many credit union websites that took advantageof the extra layer of protection offered by secure certificates,”said NAFCU Services President David Frankil.
|“That has changed with all the emphasis on security, and now allcredit unions can easily integrate CULookup.com calculators withtheir preferred method of security, regular or HTTPS,” Frankilsaid.
|The service was launched in February 2010 and now offers morethan 30 calculators on topics ranging from home buying toretirement savings. The public also can access the calculatorsdirectly at www.CULookup.com.
