With Friday's launch of CUHomepage.com, Tammy Holtzmeier, president of businessdevelopment/marketing firm Profound Communications in Cleveland, has realized her dream of providing an insider's guide to thecredit union industry.

“CU Homepage started as a means to solve problem. We're good atreading our own press but that's where we drop the ball,” saidHoltzmeier, a former credit union CEO who serves as publisher ofthe aggregate news site, during the official launch party.

“Working at credit unions we all have a finite amount of time tokeep up and read about the latest happenings, innovations and Iwanted to widen exposure to all the good ideas out there not justwithin the industry but beyond,” she said.

Wanting it to be available to credit union staff across alllevels, the free site offers an array of not just news and bloglinks but also everything from polls, peer advice and a job boardto trends and a customizable dashboard, where users can add newswidgets based on their interests and needs.

According to Holtzmeier, the move was ultimately designed tohelp encourage collaboration, as anyone can contribute, share theirsuccess stories and challenges along the way.

The site includes an ongoing Twitter conversation– #CUTT25 –comprising credit union industry participants, including SarahSnell Cooke, publisher/editor-in-chief of Credit UnionTimes.
