1st Advantage Federal Credit Union, Yorktown,Va., has named Lorrie Carter as the credit union'snew marketing director. Prior to joining 1st Advantage, Carterworked with AdvancePath Academics in Williamsburg, Va., where shewas responsible for company brand presence, marketing oversight,data analytics and multimedia campaign management. BeforeAdvancePath, Carter was the marketing manager/director with PerfectCommerce in Hampton, Va., where she developed and maintainedmarketing programs for the company's North American and Europeansales groups. Carter holds a bachelor's in business administrationfrom the College of William and Mary and a master's degree from theFlorida Institute of Technology.

As marketing director, Carter will be responsible for developingthe policies and programs for credit union marketing, and planningand directing the efforts of the 1st Advantage marketing team.Carter will also advise and assist the president and other 1stAdvantage departments with marketing and brand developmentstrategies.

Affinity Federal Credit Union, Basking Ridge,N.J., announced that Gregory T. Simpson has beennamed chairman of the board. Simpson began volunteering withAffinity in 2005 and has served as treasurer and secretary of theboard. He has also chaired the supervisory committee as well as thenominating committee. He has served on numerous committeesincluding the executive committee, governance committee and as the board liaison to the asset-liability committee.Simpson's professional experience includes leading $3 billionbusinesses and organizations with more than 100 employees. He iscurrently principal at GTSE Consulting, a strategic managementconsulting firm focusing on digital and traditional marketing, aswell as product line strategy. Simpson also spent more than adecade in a variety of positions at AT&T, including executivedirector of digital marketing, e-commerce, and onlineself-servicing, and executive director of marketing and productmanagement. Simpson holds a master of business administrationdegree in marketing and a master of science degree in internationalbusiness from Seton Hall University, as well as a certification inexecutive leadership from Cornell University.

Leominster Credit Union, Leominster, Mass.,recently announced that Tom Clancy has been hiredas vice president of information technology. He will manage allaspects of the information technology department. Clancy bringsmore than 24 years of financial services experience to hisposition. Prior to joining LCU, Clancy was most recently vicepresident of operations and information technology at Central OneFederal Credit Union. Clancy holds a bachelor's in businessadministration from the University of Massachusetts.

Numerica Credit Union, Spokane, Wash.,announced that  Wendie Ellis was recentlypromoted to assistant vice president of branch administration.Ellis has 20 years of experience in the financial industry and herlast 11 years have been spent with Numerica. Her most recentposition was as branch manager at the Wandermere branch. Ellisobtained her associate's degree in business management from PennFoster College. She is currently working towards her bachelor'sdegree in business administration and management with a minor infinance from Colorado Technical University. Her new position withNumerica will involve overseeing the Lyons, Wandermere, AirwayHeights, Hayden and Coeur d'Alene branches. LisaSunderman was also recently hired at the credit union asassistant vice president of enterprise risk management in SpokaneValley. Sunderman, who is a CPA, comes to Numerica after workingfor seven years with Sterling Financial Corp. and Sterling Bank,where she most recently held the title of audit and risk reviewdirector. She received a bachelor's degree in business managementwith a major in accounting from Central Washington University and amaster's degree in business administration from GonzagaUniversity.

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich.,announced that Frank Eagle has retired from theboard of after 27 years of service. Consumers had $4 million inassets when Eagle first became part of the board in 1984, and itnow has more than $385 million. Eagle has witnessed nearly everynew product and service launched, plus the opening of 12 offices.Prior to his retirement, Eagle worked for Consumers Energy for 35years. Before that, he worked as a culinary chef for 14years.

CUNA Mutual Group Mortgage Insurance Co., SanFrancisco, has promoted Scott Romesburg to vicepresident of operations. In this new position, Romesburg willsupervise CMG MI's departments for underwriting and MI operations,policy servicing and billing, loss mitigation and claims, andcorporate information technology.  He joined CMG MI asdirector of information technology in 2007; underwriting andoperations were added to his responsibilities in 2009.  In2011, he was promoted to senior director. Prior to joiningCMG MI, Romesburg served in successive IT roles at PMI MortgageInsurance Co., one of CMG MI's parent companies.

Fiserv, Inc., Brookfield, Wis., announced theappointment of Dennis F. Lynch to its board. Lynchhas been a major contributor to the U.S. payments industry for morethan 30 years, driving the adoption of card and payment solutions.He is currently the chairman at Cardtronics, Inc., the largestowner and operator of retail ATMs worldwide. He is also a directorand former chairman of the Secure Remote Payments Council, across-industry organization dedicated to accelerating the growth,development, and market adoption of more secure ecommerce andmobile payments. Lynch was previously the chairman and CEO ofRightPath Payments, Inc. from 2005 to 2008. He served as the CEO ofNYCE Corporation from 1996 to 2004. During his tenure, NYCE grewfrom a regional payments company to one of national scale. Lynchalso served on the board of Open Solutions Inc. from 2005 to2007.
