Creating and sharing, for sale, its in-house development work has earned the $3.4 billion Redstone Federal Credit Union the 2012 Model Bank Award from research consultancy Celent.
Redstone has been an active user of the DNAcreator toolkit and DNAappstore collaboration site from Open Solutions Inc., the Glastonbury, Conn., company said.
Open Solutions said the Huntsville, Ala., credit union has developed 21 of the 124 DNAapps currently available on the site. The company said 42 organizations have been certified to create apps and that since its launch in 2011, users of the company's DNA core processing platform have downloaded more than 700 apps.
