Christian Community Credit, San Dimas, Calif.,recently celebrated President/CEO John Walling's40th year at the credit union. He was honored at the credit union'sannual meeting. Walling began his career at what was then AmericanBaptist Credit Union, where assets had just surpassed $7 millionwith more than 5,700 members. There was one branch at the time andmembers used passbooks to record their transactions. UnderWalling's leadership, Christian Community Credit Union has grown tomore than $532 million in assets. With two branches, the staffserves nearly 29,500 churches, ministries and their members in over100 countries. Walling began as the credit union's assistantmanager in June 1972. Six years later, he became the generalmanager. In 1984, the board of directors appointed him aspresident/CEO. Walling currently serves as a board member ofPayment Systems for Credit Unions Inc. and is also the treasurer ofChristian Community Credit Union's board ofdirectors.

Veridian Credit Union, Ankeny, Iowa, announcedthat Rachel Meyer has been promoted to theposition of supervisor of its branch in Johnston. Meyer has workedat Veridian for seven years and was most recently a loan officer.She has a BA in management, with an emphasis in human resources,from the University of Northern Iowa.

MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union, Macon,Ga., welcomed Trey Ogle as the new Bass Roadbranch manager. Ogle comes to MidSouth from Security Bankof Bibb County and has more than 10 years of bankingexperience. He received his bachelor's of science fromGeorgia College & State University.

Fairwinds Credit Union, Orlando, Fla., hasnamed Melvin Ramen regional vice president ofbranch services. In his new role, he will oversee the management,sales and operations of eight branches in Orange and Seminolecounties. Ramen has been in the financial services industry foralmost 10 years, joining the credit union in 2005. He moved his wayup after managing branches in Orange City and Deltona. After anopportunity in the financial industry took him to England in 2010,Ramen returned to Orlando in May 2011 and resumed his position asthe vice president, branch manager of the Winter Garden location.Originally from the island of Mauritius, Ramen earned his BA inmanagement studies from the University of Mauritius.

Georgia United Credit Union, Duluth, Ga.,announced two additions to their executive managementteam.  Todd Gustafson joined GeorgiaUnited as chief financial officer. For the past 11 years, Gustafsonserved as the senior vice president/chief financial officer forBaxter Credit Union and was primarily responsible for leading theaccounting, finance, audit and risk management functions of the$1.6 billion credit union. Prior to his career withBaxter, Gustafson worked in leadership roles with regional bankholding companies and as an auditor for KPMG LLP. Gustafson is alicensed CPA and a graduate of Bradley University, with a degree inaccounting. Shawn Turpin joined Georgia United asvice president of branch operations. Turpin will be responsible forthe leadership and development of the retail team comprising 15branches and 130 associates located across Northern Georgia. He has16 years of combined retail, business and commercial bankingexperience. In his previous role, Turpin served as vice presidentof commercial banking for KeyWorth Bank from July 2008. Prior tojoining KeyWorth, he spent the bulk of his career with IronStoneBank from April 1997 to June 2008. He served in multiple rolesthroughout the years, including senior vice president forcommercial banking and retail banking manager, where he oversaw thebranch network and associates. Turpin currently serves on the boardof directors for GA Resource Capital, a certified developmentcompany, specializing in the SBA 504 Loan Program. Turpin is agraduate of Auburn University with a degree in finance.

GFA Federal Credit Union, Gardner, Mass.,recently announced the promotion of MarissaVescovi to consumer underwriter. Vescovi has more thaneight years of consumer lending experience and previously held theposition of consumer loan processor. In her new role, she will beresponsible for reviewing consumer loan applications submittedthrough a branch, online or through a GFA lendingpartner.

Service Credit Union, Portsmouth, N.H.,appointed Lori Holmes assistant vice president ofmarketing. After joining the credit union in 2008 as a segmentationofficer, Holmes served as special projects and public relationsmanager later that year and was then promoted to marketing managerin 2010. Holmes has 25 years of public relations and journalismexperience. She has a bachelor's degree in English and journalismfrom the University of New Hampshire. Holmes will report to thevice president of marketing, Karen Benedetti. She will beresponsible for assisting Benedetti in marketing activities,managing Ecommerce, overseeing corporate and departmental projectcompletion, managing social media and directing public relations.Holmes will directly manage a staff of six.

EHS Design, Seattle, Wash., announced thatChris Hamilton, has joined the firm as aprincipal. Hamilton comes to EHS Design from Callison LLC, where heserved as founder and principal in charge of the financial industrygroup. At EHS, Hamilton will oversee client and businessdevelopment for the financial, retail and corporate sectors. AtCallison LLC, Hamilton started the financial industry group,growing the group from $75,000 to $11 million in gross yearlyearnings and expanding the department to 90 employees. Hamilton'sformer client roster includes Key Bank, Chase, HSBC, Wells Fargoand Union Bank. International banks, such as Bancomer Mexico andBanco de Chile, have also hired Hamilton's teams.
