The $4.9 billion Alaska USA Federal Credit Union of Anchorage,Alaska, was named “The Best of Alaska” on June 24, after readers ofThe Anchorage Daily News voted it the best financialinstitution in the state.
|The platinum award has now been granted to the 450,000-membercredit union for six consecutive years, the credit union said.
|Alaska USA added that it was also selected as having the bestfamily friendly environment by the Fairbanks North Star Borough andthe Early Childhood Development Commission.
|The credit union said it was among 60 organizations competingfor the 2012 Family-Friendly Workplace Award. Each organization wascomposed of 25 or more employees and was nominated by staffmembers.
|“Alaska USA cares about its employees and this is reflected inits flexible policies and practices,” said Lisa Hall, Alaska USAregional vice president, interior Alaska.
