Wescom Service Bureau Upgrade

CUSO Invests $1.6 Million Since November

More than $1.6 million has been invested since November to upgrade the Wescom Resources Group service bureau for credit unions running the Symitar Episys core platform, the company said.

Enhancements include two new IBM servers to support more than 20 service bureau clients with virtualization management, as well as tapeless backup, interactive voice response, enterprise automation and job scheduling software upgrades, said the CUSO for the $2.6 billion Wescom Credit Union in Pasadena, Calif.

“Our latest investments enable us to raise the bar significantly in providing our Service Bureau clients with increased processing speed and capacity, supported by our knowledgeable and professional around-the-clock staff,” said WRG President Tim Dolan.

“We believe these investments are necessary to continue our commitment to our clients with an ‘always on’ level of support to their members,” Dolan said.

WRG currently serves more than 225 credit unions, including 15 through its Episys service bureau. Other services include online and mobile banking, bill pay, electronic alerts, multi-factor authentication, member-directed ACH, and online account opening
