CUNA Mutual Group said it has opened registration for its third annual Online Discovery Conference on Oct. 9.
The daylong conference this year will feature full video and audio presentations on a number of topics, as well as networking through social media, live chat rooms and message boards and an interactive exhibit hall.
CUNA Mutual Group said the Online Discovery Conference is the Web-based equivalent of a face-to-face conference without the travel or time away from the office. It’s also free.
The conference lineup will be announced this summer, CMG said.
“We discovered that people prefer watching presentations rather than just listening,” said CMG’s vice president of corporate communications, Jim Buchheim. “Therefore, videos of every session and the keynote speaker’s presentation will be on your computer screen for you to see and hear.”
Buchheim called the conference an “extension of our face-to-face conference at ACUC,” going on this week in San Diego and said while it is targeted toward senior managers, all credit union and league employees are welcome.
Registration is online and guarantees full access to the conference and all materials after the event is over, Buchheim said.
