The former University of Tennessee Volunteer and current outfielder-third baseman for the San Diego Padres has been tapped as UT Federal Credit Union’s Smokey Savers Club spokeshero.
Designed for kids up to 12 years old, the youth account offers members incentives to save as well as quarterly newsletters and birthday cards as ways to encourage good savings habits.
“There are many reasons to look up to Chase as an athlete and role model. We are happy to have him promote the importance of a good financial head start for children at the credit union,” said Malinda Wood, vice president of marketing at the $196 million credit union based in Knoxville, Tenn.
