The $876 million APG Federal Credit Union has partnered with Harford CommunityCollege for the naming rights to the Susquehanna Center arena, theMaryland college and credit union said.

The APG Federal Credit Union Arena at Harford Community College,currently under construction, will be the largest indoor venue innortheastern Maryland at 3,200 seats.

The partnership with the college is for an annual contributionof just over $50,000 per year over 15 years. The financial supportwill fund scholarships for Harford Community College students, aswell as operations and programming in the arena, the schoolsaid.

“Harford County is a community where families thrive, andHarford Community College is one of the reasons why,” said DonLewis, president/CEO of the 94,000-member APGFCU in Aberdeen, Md.

“Once again, the college and the credit union have come togetherto encourage local enrichment. The new Susquehanna Center willprovide an unmatched gathering place right in the heart of ourcommunity and will offer sporting, cultural and civic activitiesfor all ages. We are pleased to continue to support HarfordCommunity College and the new Susquehanna Center,” Lewis said.
