Maps CU Will Convert Its Core Processing

CU Cited the Platform's Open Architecture in its Decision

Open Solutions Inc. said it will convert the $410 million Maps Credit Union in Salem, Ore., to its DNA core processing platform.

Maps CU cited the platform’s open architecture, including the ability to easily use third-party and Open Solutions enhancements through the company’s DNAappstore and integration tools, in its decision.

“With Open Solutions’ DNAcreator and DNAappstore comes the opportunity to develop efficiencies and core customizations in-house or purchase them, which is very attractive, and aligns with our long-term goals,” said CJ Daiker, vice president of information technology at Maps CU.

The Oregon credit union also will deploy business intelligence, item processing, teller capture and other toolsets from Open Solutions, the company said.

Maps CU was founded in 1935 and now has nine branches and serves more than 40,000 members in Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Linn, Benton, Clackamas, Washington and Multnomah counties .

Open Solutions said it now has more than 450 credit unions using its flagship DNA core processing platforms.

Maps CU had been running on the Fiserv DataSafe platform.
