First Citizens’ FCU Gets Mobile

The $552 million, 58,000-member First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union of Fairhaven, Mass., said it has launched mobile banking for its service area of the Southcoast and Cape Cod Region of the Bay State.

The fee-free offering includes text banking, a Web-based service for any Internet-enabled mobile device and downloadable apps for iPhone and BlackBerry users.

Functionalities include account balances, transaction histories, transfers, bill pay and branch and ATM locators. The mobile technology is from Fiserv Inc.

“The addition of the Mobile Banking channel further expands our ability to deliver the highest quality products and services to our members in the timeliest and most efficient manner possible,” said Peter Muise, First Citizens’ president and CEO.
