An email encryption service from Zix Corp. will be deployed by Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union.
The Middletown, Pa., corporate will use the Dallas company’s Zix Gateway policy-based encryption system to scan all outbound email and encrypt messages with sensitive information.
"We selected ZixCorp because it is committed to informing client companies about security issues, and email encryption is a very effective tool in our security arsenal,” said Richard Carberry, the 800-member corporate’s security administrator.
Zix said it will be a sponsor of Mid-Atlantic Corporate’s Security Conference to be held Aug. 16-17 in Harrisburg, Pa., and that it now provides email encryption to more than 1,200 hospitals and 1,500 financial institutions, including more than 250 credit unions.
