Synergent Touts Expanded Symitar Relationship
Synergent said it has signed a new agreement with Symitar that expands the relationship between the subsidiary of the Maine Credit Union League and the credit union core processing arm of Jack Henry & Associates.
Synergent said it already operates the largest Symitar Episys service bureau and now will be working with Symitar to increase that presence in New England and New York as well as help offer the Episys platform as an in-house option.
Synergent will continue the service bureau work while in-house solutions will be supported by Symitar. Their cooperation will include appearing together at trade shows, collaborating on white papers and using other resources to assist their growing user base of credit union partners, Synergent said.
“This positions both organizations to build on each other’s core expertise and support credit union growth solutions and efficiencies to better serve members,” said John Murphy, president/CEO of Synergent, which provides core processing, check and card processing, shared branching and marketing solutions to more than 200 credit unions.
Gary Glenn, senior vice president at Synergent, said the partnership will allow his company to better offer its new products, including an enterprise content management and audio response solutions.
He said Synergent also is preparing to offer the next-generation user interface for the Episys platform, Quest. Symitar’s core processing platforms are used by more than 700 credit unions nationwide.
