The $81 million Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Unionin Germantown, Md., is now offering its 14,600 members the “tripleplay” of mobile banking options.
|Those are SMS text messaging, mobile Web browsing anddownloadable applications, in this case for iPhones.Functionality includes balances, transfers, histories and billpay.
|MC EFCU is using Intuit Financial Services technology to offermobile banking and based its decision to offer the channel on focusgroups and member surveys.
|“We are moving into these high-tech mobile and otherservices because our members asked us to and we believe that it isthe best way to serve their changing needs,” said Jim Norris, thecredit union’s CEO.
|California-based IFS said more than 300 of its 1,600 financialinstitution customers now use its mobile banking services.
