Those are SMS text messaging, mobile Web browsing anddownloadable applications, in this case for iPhones.Functionality includes balances, transfers, histories and billpay.

MC EFCU is using Intuit Financial Services technology to offermobile banking and based its decision to offer the channel on focusgroups and member surveys.

“We are moving into these high-tech mobile and otherservices because our members asked us to and we believe that it isthe best way to serve their changing needs,” said Jim Norris, thecredit union’s CEO.

California-based IFS said more than 300 of its 1,600 financialinstitution customers now use its mobile banking services.
