Vertifi Software LLC is now offering a mobile banking application specifically for the iPad, including remote deposit capture using the camera on the iPad 2.
The $4.3 billion Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union of Live Oak, Texas, is the first user of the app from the subsidiary of EasCorp of Burlington, Mass.
The app provides remote check deposit through the iPad 2’s camera and includes balances and transaction histories, transfers, loan payments, archived check images and secure messaging.
RBFCU now has downloadable apps that support mobile banking on iPhones, iPod Touches, iPads and Android devices.
"Our membership is comprised of many military men and women, and it is crucial that they have access to their accounts, regardless of where they are stationed or what mobile device they own," said Mary O’Rourke, the credit union’s vice president of electronic services.
RBFCU has posted a YouTube video showing the app in action. The credit union is one of more than 175 now using the EasCorp subsidiary’s imaging and other products.
