MAX Credit Union’s EcoMAX recently helped put together an educational weekend event about sustainable living for over 90 local middle school students. Working with the Hampstead Institute and the city of Montgomery, Ala., the $881 million credit union gave children and adults the chance to learn from the region’s sustainable living experts about topics such as recycling, organic gardening, rainwater harvesting, beekeeping and composting. Local residents brought electronics to recycle while children took a tour of Hampstead Farms, visiting exhibits and watching presentations. EcoMAX is an educational initiative by MAX Credit Union to help educate the River Region about sustainable living solutions.
