CO-OP Financial Services has introduced CO-OP Mobile Text, a text-banking service that will enable a credit union’s members to quickly verify balances, view transaction history and transfer funds within their accounts via text messages.
Although the CUSO’s full-service mobile banking solution, CO-OP Mobile Multi-Mode Platform, has been available for over a year, CO-OP Mobile Text is being offered as a standalone service at 12 cents per transaction, with no additional account verification fee.
“CO-OP Mobile Text allows credit unions of any size to attract groups such as the young and those living in rural areas, who prefer mobile devices as their access points for everything from music to news,” said Stan Hollen, CO-OP president/CEO.
According to the company, credit unions currently using the CO-OP Next Generation Network need only to opt-in to activate the service immediately.
CO-OP Financial Services is based in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and serves more than 3,000 credit unions.
