A branch of the $5.7 billion American Airlines Federal Credit Union was damaged in the tornado that struck the St. Louis airport last Friday.

The twister shattered windows, upended furniture and ripped down pictures from the wall in the manager's office at the branch, which had closed a few hours before the 7:30 p.m. storm hit.

"We're looking at some boarded-up, wood windows and it's been a busy day with all the repairmen coming through trying to do the repairs," a branch spokeswoman said Monday.
