FedComp Adds Cloud Computing

900-Plus Credit Union Client Based Offered Three Core Delivery Options

Private cloud computing now is an outsourcing option for core processing clients of FedComp Inc. of Fairfax, Va.

FedComp already had been providing traditional service bureau and in-house core processing to what it said is now a client list of about 930 credit unions.

"Migrating core technologies to a private cloud computing platform can mean significant savings and system economies for credit unions challenged by managing today’s technologies," the company said.

The company said private cloud computing offers secure remote hosting of critical computer programs and applications and includes server and operating system management, data storage and archiving, while still offering the flexibility and greater customization of in-house systems.
