The $730 million Motorola Employees Credit Union in Schaumburg, Ill., is now offering its 39,000 members mobile access through downloadable apps, SMS text banking and a Web-based universal mobile browser.
The services are through a partnership with Card Services for Credit Unions of Tampa, Fla., and mobile banking specialist MShift Inc. of Fremont, Calif.
Included are downloadable apps for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry devices. CSCU and MShift said they soon will be adding mobile deposit functionality to iPhone and Android users of their joint offering.
CSCU said it now offers card and other services to more than 3,000 credit unions. MShift’s mobile banking solutions are in place at more than 200 credit unions and banks, including more than 30 of the largest 50 credit unions, that company said.
