The Golden 1 reported that it distributed $3.75 million in rebates to members that held its Visa credit card.
The $7.7 billion CU has a card portfolio of more than 74,000 cards with $189 million in balances, as of the end of 2010.
The CU said members earned the 1% cash rebates on qualified purchases with some of the CU's Visa credit cards. The Golden 1 has paid out nearly $30 million in card rebates since the launch of the program.
"The Visa Rebate program is just another great benefit of membership at Golden 1," said Golden 1 CEO Donna Bland. "Giving back to our members shows them how much we appreciate their business and their continued loyalty and support."
The CU said the rebates were directly deposited to members' savings accounts in January 2011.
