CU*NorthWest Signs Three as New Users of Core Platform

Three more credit unions are now running on the CU*Answers core processing platform and a fourth will be soon, according to CU*NorthWest.

The Liberty Lake, Wash., CUSO said the new Colorado clients are Alamosa CU and Valley Educators CU, each $6 million in assets and located in Alamosa, and the $15 million Mountain River CU of Salida. The three organizations plan to work together to further lower costs, the company said.

According to the Callahan & Associates Technology Survey, Alamosa CU was a CUDP client, Mountain River was an R.C. Olmstead client and Valley Educators had been on a Symitar Cruise platform.

Meanwhile, the $40 million United Financial CU in Whittier, Calif., signed a five-year pact and plans to convert from its existing Open Solutions Inc. platform in June, CU*NorthWest said. It will run the platform in-house and also plans to use CU*Answers' online and mobile banking solutions.

CU*NorthWest was founded in 2005 and said it now has 17 clients running on the CU*BASE platform from CU*Answers in Grand Rapids, Mich., with two more under contract.
