Online Opening Draws New Accounts at 3Rivers

More than 150 new accounts have been opened online since the $631 million 3Rivers Federal Credit Union began offering the service three months ago, the Fort Wayne, Ind., credit union said.

The Fort Wayne, Ind., institution is now one of more than 450 credit unions using the XPressAccounts system from MeridianLink of Costa Mesa, Calif.

The solution integrates with core processing platforms and provides such necessities as OFAC list checking, credit reports and identification verification, the company said.

The launch of the service was part of a strategic plan that also included an upgraded website and overall brand, the credit union said.

3Rivers FCU has 18 branches in seven counties in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio and serves about 68,000 members.
