Taleris Credit Union is mourning the death of longtime board director the Rev. James Thomas II.
He originally started serving as a member of the lending services committee at the Cleveland- based credit union some 20 years ago and has been a board director since 1990.
Throughout his tenure Thomas also served as a member of the Taleris CU executive committee, the finance committee and the education committee. He had also been appointed as the chairman of the lending services committee and served as the board secretary.
Equally active in the community, Thomas was on the board of the Rainey Institute and West Side Community House. He also served for many years as a hospital chaplain in the Greater Cleveland area.
