John Farr recently walked away with more than a new car purchase. The member of CSRA Credit Union, a division of Associated Credit Union, won $5,000 in gold in a campaign drawing.
The "Take Home the Gold" promotion encouraged individuals to apply for a new or used auto loan at the credit union and be entered into a drawing to win $5,000 in gold. The Augusta, Ga.-based CSRA CU, Associated CU in Norcross, Ga., in conjunction with August Credit Union CarFinders, held the promotion in August and September.
"In these tough economic times, we wanted to encourage more of our members to apply for a loan, get a great rate, and at the same time help stimulate the economy," said Leah Eldridge, division president of CSRA CU.
