The PowerSite Mobile software automatically detects when a potential applicant is using a mobile device such as an iPhone, BlackBerry or iPod Touch. It then switches to a mobile-friendly version that asks for eight pieces of non-personal data and delivers real-time, personalized rate-and-fee quotes from 30,000 different loan programs in the company's database, Mortgagebot said.
Scott Happ, Mortgagebot president and CEO, said the mobile service's accuracy helps ensure compliance with new disclosure regulations and that the mobile data is easily transferable to a laptop or desktop computer to complete the application process.
The mobile version requires no added costs or programming, according to the Mequon, Wis., provider of mortgage technology solutions to nearly 1,000 financial institutions.
